Display Driver Uninstaller

Display Driver Uninstaller is a driver uninstaller utility that can help you completely remove AMD/NVIDIA/INTEL graphics card drivers and packages.  from your system, attempting to remove all remnants (including registry keys, folders and files, driver storage).
Video drivers AMD/NVIDIA/INTEL can usually be removed from the Windows Control Panel, this driver uninstaller was designed to be used in cases where the standard driver removal procedure fails, or when it is necessary to carefully remove the video card drivers of NVIDIA and ATI.
The ongoing effect after using this driver removal tool will be the same as when you first installed a new driver, just like with a fresh, clean installation of Windows. As with any tool of this kind, we recommend creating a new system restore point before using it so that you can restore your system at any time if you run into problems.

Correct use of Display Driver Uninstaller:

Here is a complete guide that shows you how to useDisplay Driver Uninstaller (DDU) on yourPCwithWindows.

Display Driver Uninstaller (DDU) can be run in both normal mode and safe mode. For best results and stability, you should runDDUonly inSafe Mode. So, restart your computer in safe mode ofWindowsif you want to runDDUin safe mode.

Now run DDU.exe from the folder once you have extracted its files.

Select a graphics driver such asNvidiaorAMDdepending on your graphics card.

Now there are three options for removing the video card driver:

  1. Remove and restart. The recommended method is that after completely removing drivers and residual files, the computer will restart. Allows you to avoid many problems when installing other drivers;
  2. Removal without reboot. Removal is performed without subsequent system reboot. After removing the video card driver, the screen goes dark for a few seconds, which is necessary for the standard Windows video driver to start.
  3. Uninstall and shut down. After uninstallation, the computer automatically turns off. This method is convenient for removing drivers before replacing a video card.

Here I am selecting the Clean and Restart in Safe Mode option because for safe removal of drivers it is the best option. After clicking on the Clean and Restart option, your computer will be restarted and the graphics driver will be completely removed. You can also view a log of the operations performed byDDUin the window located at the bottom left of the tool. Now you can install new and latest drivers for your video card.

  • For reliable removal and security, run the program in safe mode.
  • When working with the program, turn off the Internet. This will prevent you from having to re-install drivers without prompting from Windows Update.
  • Before using DDU, it is recommended to create a system restore point or backup to prevent possible unwanted consequences.

Features of Display Driver Uninstaller:

  • The tool can be used in normal mode, but for absolute stability when using, DDU Safemode is always the best.
  • Back up or restore your system (but this should usually be fairly safe).
  • It is best to completely exclude the DDU folder from any security software to avoid problems.
